    I received the colour sketch of my cat Alice as a Christmas gift from my parents. They commissioned Alison to draw her, and the result was absolutely stunning. I feel it can be hard to capture the small difference in detail between animals especially when it comes to expressions, but Alison caught Alice beautifully from the details such as her little smudge around her lips to her inquisitive expression. I could not be happier to have my little gremlin portrayed in this way! Thank you so much!

meet the artist

I work from my home studio in St Andrews, Scotland ..with its beautiful scenery and beaches it is the perfect location.

My paintings are expressive and are inspired by nature. Sometimes we don’t find the time to pause and reflect on the beauty and wonders of the natural world around us. Through my art, I hope to inspire mindfulness and evoke a sense of freedom and connection.

My aim is to capture the natural elements and essence of the landscape, revealing the graininess of the coastline, the raw beauty of the sand and the dunes, with the warmth of earthy tones and textures.
