A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME

I grew up in the lovely village of Ceres in Fife and now live in St Andrews. I have loved drawing for as long as I can remember with memories of sketching cute cartoon characters when I was very young. During a short career break while my son was little, I obtained a Diploma in Art & Design. However, timings were not aligned for me to continue with art back then and I returned to work in property sales and lettings, putting my creativity on hold. When my son started university, I began contemplating more seriously the idea of following my dreams of being an artist, leading me here! My love of drawing eventually led to pet portrait commissions.

My painting style is a mixture of abstract and semi-abstract and I like to use acrylics and a variety of mixed media in my work. I am currently working on several new collections which I hope to release very soon. I enjoy experimenting with painting techniques using textures and tones. I usually tend to use a more limited palette using the process of layering, building textures to enrich depth, often incorporating metallic accents to add that extra touch.
